The Board of Directors is responsible for the operation and activities of the congregation under the terms of our By-Laws and Constitution. The board meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm. Board meetings are open to all members of the congregation.

Our By-Laws Are Being Revised
by Michael Leavitt

Mission: To change Congregation Sha’are Shalom’s By-Laws in order to:

  • Fix areas that too rigorously constrain how we conduct our business
  • Improve the operation of the community
  • Meet the goals of as many members of the congregation as possible
  • Make our administration of our synagogue more flexible

The process needs to be open. It is being developed and managed by a “core group” of congregants who are dedicated to making the process work. The process will be transparent.

Its managers will set and meet schedules that the leadership and members of the community understand.

As a result, Congregation Sha’are Shalom can expect to have a revised way of doing business that will serve it well for the next decade.

We strongly encourage your participation and welcome your input to: ByLawsRevisions@sha-areshalom.org
