Committees
Adult Education Committee
This Committee develops programs of adult education for the Congregation. It also determines policies and formulates rules and regulations for the administration of such programs.
Finance & Budget Committee
This Committee makes periodic reviews of the financial operations of the Congregation and reports its findings, as appropriate, to the Annual Meeting of the Congregation and, from time to time, to meetings of the Board of Directors. It also prepares a proposed budget for the Board of Directors' approval for presentation to the Congregation and the Annual Meeting.
House Committee
This Committee is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the Synagogue building and grounds, supervising repairs as well as capital improvements as ordered by the Board of Directors.
Membership Committee
This Committee is responsible for keeping in touch with Jewish members of the community not affiliated with any Congregation, with the view of inviting them to become members of the Congregation. This Committee receives and processes applications for membership.
School Committee
This Committee supervises the schools of the Congregation, on the elementary and secondary levels. Also, it determines policy, formulates rules and regulations for the administration of our schools.
Preschool Committee
This Committee supervises the preschool for the Congregation, and determines policy and formulate rules and regulations for the administration of our preschool.
Long Range Planning Committee
This Committee assesses the long-range goals of the Congregation and plans for the future.
Ritual Committee
This Committee is in charge of all religious services of the Congregation, including weddings, B'nai Mitzvah, and funerals, and formulates administrative rules and regulations for all such services. It offers to the Rabbi advice and guidance regarding the character and mode of the various services. It also is responsible for appointing gabbaim and ushers for the various services.
Social Action and Community Relations Committee
This Committee develops and maintain liaison with other organizations in the community. It studies community problems that may arise from time to time and make recommendations for appropriate action to the Board of Directors.
Social Committee
This Committee develops a year round program of social activities aimed at furthering fellowship and sociability among members of the Congregation. The Committee also arranges appropriate programs for the various events that it may sponsor.
Ways and Means Committee
This Committee formulates for Board of Directors'consideration a set of standards for fund raising appropriate for our synagogue for increasing the income to the Congregation. It explores the possibilities for increasing income from old and new sources and presents specific proposals to the Board of Directors for increasing income. Then, this Committee implements the specific proposals.
Youth Activities Committee
This Committee develops a program of youth activities for the Congregations. It determines policy and formulate rules and regulations for the administration of such activities.
