Training Wheels

The Potomac Chapter of Hadassah, in coalition with Sha'are Shalom, is offering the Hadassah Training Wheels Al Galgalim Program. Hadassah and Shaare Shalom are thrilled to offer families with children ages 2-5, an exciting Jewish family program developed by Hadassah and the Whizen Institue of the University of Judaism in Los Angeles. This program combines songs, fun-filled activities and learning which enable adults and children to experience together the joy of celebrating Shabbat and the Jewish holidays. In the friendly environment of a small group setting, Training Wheels provides a support system for parents and grandparents who share concerns about raising children with Jewish traditions.
The ultimate goal of Training Wheels is to enable families to replicate the experience at home. As everyone knows, children, especially young children, love to imitate their parents. When children see their parents keeping Shabbat, they want to keep Shabbat too.
Nine, one and a half hour sessions will be held monthly at Sha'are Shalom on Sundays at 9:30 am. Please send an email to our Training Wheels Coordinator, Shannon Ben-Yoseph for more information and registration.
