Active Retirees
The Active Retirees group at Congregation Sha'are Shalom usually meets on the third Monday of each month at 11.00AM at the synagogue.
The group is comprised of approximately 10 -15 active, educated, and friendly men and women age 55+, who are at various stages of retirement. Some members are still working and join us on their days off and in the summer.
Newcomers are always welcome! Visiting grandparents and relatives are invited too!
Monday, June 21,10.15AM - 1.30PM Picnic at Great Falls National Park
Meet at 10.15AM at the Visitors Center at Great Falls Park in McLean, Virginia for a handicap accessible, historic hike with a National Park Ranger followed by a picnic lunch in the park. The tour is from 10.30 -11.30. Bring your lunch, chairs, blankets, and anything else you wish. Great Falls Park has restrooms and concessions stands with fast food, drinks, desserts, and snacks.
Cost: FREE if you have a National Parks pass / $3 for those without a National Parks pass. Carpooling is suggested.

She is an expert on healthcare issues and will address your questions and concerns about the status of healthcare legislation; what is covered and what is not covered.

Join us and hear the very talented musician, Jamey Turner play a mix of music on his glass harp! Broadway show tunes the typical Bar Mitzvah / wedding tunes and even Hatikvah!
Jamey has performed all over the country including Lincoln Center, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New
Orleans Jazz Festival, the Kennedy Center, the National Symphony Orchestra, the Tonight Show,
the Today Show, Disney World, and in so many venues including Jewish weddings and Bar Mitzvahs.
SNOW POLICY- If Loudoun County schools are closed, our meeting is canceled. If Loudoun County schools are delayed, we will have our meeting at the regular time unless local conditions warrant a closing.
